Gingerbread Houses

What smells like Christmas, looks like Christmas, and TASTES like Christmas?

GINGERBREAD HOUSES!

What a lot of fun we had, making our own individual houses.  The gingerbread pieces were pre-cut with special slots, to make them easier to put together.  Of course that doesn’t mean there weren’t some challenges and a few caved in roofs from time to time!  It was very handy to have so many parent helpers.  Everyone brought candies to decorate, and there was a big bag of sharing candies thanks to Mrs. Barr!

  1. Hello Mrs. Leavell, Thank you for your compliments! Our class smelled the best when we made wassail punch… with apple juice, cranberry juice, cinnamon, brown sugar, nutbeg, allspice, cloves stuck into orange slices!
We are about to look at your blog! We are interested to see what Google Drive drawings look like! See you soon! (on the internet of course!).
Bye from Mrs. Boekhout and Classroom2Kids

  2. What wonderful gingerbread houses. I love the smell and the taste of gingerbread. Our grade 2 class at Duffield made cinnamon ornaments before Christmas. Our classroom smelled like cinnamon for 2 days. My grade 2s have been working on self-portraits using Google Drive, drawing. We would love if you would come to our classroom blog and have a look at our pictures. Our blog address is:
